Dermatology Brighton
Dermatology is the specialised study of skin, hair and nails. I enjoy my medical practice, I work privately and in the NHS doing medical and surgical dermatology. I also do some cosmetic dermatology. That means that in the course of my day, I diagnose and treat skin cancer and skin disease, and I help people to improve the health and appearance of their skin. I help patients one at a time to get the best possible outcomes for their skin problems.
People see me in person to check for skin cancers. These are malignant melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. I also see a lot of sun damage called actinic keratosis.
The most common medical skin condition we see is acne. NHS wait times for acne treatment can be up to one year. We can see you within weeks using our online dermatology service, or you can have a personalised treatment plan within days. We use only evidence based treatments using the latest research to provide you with a unique plan to achieve healthy skin.
In the winter, some of the most troubling skin conditions that do not have enough care provision in the NHS include psoriasis and eczema. I can advise about oral psoriasis treatment and eczema treatment using our online dermatology service if creams are not helping, or we can advise about optimum treatment regimes with creams initially.
