Frequently asked questions
Will my GP get a copy of the report?
There is an option during the consultation process for you to let us know if you wanted to share this information with your GP or not.
How long will it take to get my consultation report?
We are normally able to upload your report within 2/3 working days.
We do not guarantee this timeline because sometimes photographs may not be clear and we ask for more or other details may be needed to provide an accurate report but approximately 95% of our reports are issued within two working days.
Can I ask further advice afterwards if I have questions about my report?
We are often able to provide supplementary advice if you have one or two short additional questions afterwards but be aware that this is usually by direct email contact which potentially carries confidentiality hazards.
Complicated or multiple questions would usually involve purchasing another online interaction from us – many patients contact us on multiple occasions over a protracted period of time for ongoing advice and have several repeat consultations.
To get a more in focus picture you can use our Skin Scope 24/7 for Photo Consultations. It is compatible with any smartphone but you do need to take off your smart phone case. Good lighting is essential. If you use artificial light, shine it to the side of the lens hood. I would then be able to give you a more accurate diagnosis. The Skin Scope 24/7 decreases the need to see a dermatologist for dermoscopy (a highly specialised gadget illustrated in the main photo above). It’s ideal to help you to monitor for skin cancer changes in other moles too.
Invoice will be sent by email. Price £49.95 including postage.
